"It's not over yet"
Hey everyone!
Ari here again and I would like to say a few things regarding the lack of updates.
Let's start with the fact that this game was originally made for a game jam. We worked on it for many hours, even a dozen a day. Of course, we only managed to create a prototype of the game, but each failure is a lesson for the future and valuable experience. After the deadline passed, we spent the next week working on a bugfix version that we were able to publish. The whole process exhausted us so much that we had to take a two-week break.
The most important information I would like to tell you today is NO, we have not stopped working on the game. The production is currently in the development and early access phase. While we haven't been able to maintain our weekly update schedule, we plan to follow through and finish the game eventually.
Despite the original goal of a game jam, we want to continue working on the game. We don't know yet what will come of it, but we have a few more updates planned before the full version, which will include, among others: a plot that was one of the original ideas before we decided it would be a card game.
At this point I would like to answer a few questions you may have after reading this devlog:
Q: Has work started on the next version?
A: For the last 2 weeks, we have not been able to continue working on the game, even though we internally felt the need to do so.
Q: Will the game be paid upon release?
A: We do not plan to monetize the game at any stage of its development.
Q: How long will it take you to release the final version of the game?
A: Initially, it was supposed to last a month and a half. We are not sure how long it will take us, but we can initially estimate that it will take no longer than September.
Q: Why wasn't the announced devlog created?
A: Similarly to the question "have we started working on the next version", we were not able to connect A with B. All the material has not been forgotten or lost, and yes, we plan to assemble it in the near future.
Q: Are you moving to game jolt as announced?
A: On second thought, we will stay on itch.io and not change the platform.
Q: Will the browser version stay?
A: We plan to discontinue the browser version as it is limited and does not show the full potential of the game.
Finally, I would like to thank everyone who played our game. As of today, our game website has been visited by 150 people, which we are extremely happy about :D.
Best regards.
